Medway shares parking, safety tips for Pumpkin Walk
The Town of Medway announced parking and traffic details for tonight's Medway Parks and Recreation Pumpkin Walk, including primary, additional and accessible parking lots and safety reminders for attendees.
The Town of Medway announced parking and traffic information Oct. 31 for the Medway Parks and Recreation Pumpkin Walk, which is being held tonight.
Primary parking will be at Cassidy Field, with drivers entering from Winthrop Street and exiting onto Main Street. Additional parking is available at Medway Community Church, Lincoln Street, High Street and the Medway Public Library. Accessible parking will be in the Choate Park lot, entered from Mechanic Street, and the Route 109 entrance will be closed. The town asked attendees to follow posted signs and officer directions.
The playground will be closed all day and will remain locked during the event.
The town also issued safety reminders for the evening. Walkers are asked to go clockwise around Choate Park Pond, use crosswalks and stay on marked paths. Because "it will be dark," the town recommended wearing bright or reflective clothing and bringing flashlights or glow sticks. Parents were urged to keep children close, especially near the pond. Medway police officers will assist with parking, traffic and pedestrian safety during the event.
